Micro waves

So today my brother was playing Skylanders on the tv in the living room which is right next to my kitchen. My mom goes to warm him up some french toast sticks in the microwave... A screen pops up and says the portal lost connection. My brother jokingly said 'hey, maybe it's the microwave'. And to our surprise, as soon as the microwave stopped, the portal reconnected. Apparently, the microwaves from the microwave interfere with the infrared waves from the portal. Interesting...
